Sessional Children’s Playworker

Families in our refuges have experienced trauma and loss due to domestic violence and have been forced to leave their homes. You will have a good understanding of the impact of trauma and loss on children of different ages and experience of working with children and their mothers/carers.

Main tasks

  • To deliver, when needed, a sessional programme of activity and play including baby groups, toddler groups, after school groups and holiday outings
  • To maintain a safe, creative and stimulating environment for children’s activities and play where every child feels welcome and important
  • To ensure health and safety and child protection concerns are raised with the Family Support Worker

 NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is desirable to this post.

Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA)

The Enfield IDVA will be based in a small team providing specialist services for women affected by domestic and sexual violence. This includes a package of support covering crisis intervention, risk and needs assessment, safety planning, and individual support planning. A key aspect of the role is to advocate on behalf of service users pursuing remedies through the criminal and civil justice systems.

The IDVA will work specifically with high risk clients whose cases are referred to the MARAC.

Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support to victims of domestic and sexual violence and strong casework management skills.

If you have experience of working with victims of domestic and/or sexual violence and a working knowledge of the criminal and civil justice systems this is a unique opportunity to further develop your skills and career.

Applicants are required to have the CAADA IDVA qualification, or be willing to attend training to acquire this.

The Assistant Management Accountant will report to the Director of Finance and also work alongside other members of the Finance Team.  Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential to facilitate discussions with team and service managers.

This role will suit a part qualified accountant who is nearly completing their CIMA/ACCA/CCAB, or a fully qualified AAT.  They must also have a minimum of three years proven experience in the preparation of management accounts.
