Islington Advocacy and Support Service

Solace Women’s Aid is delighted to announce we have been re-commissioned to deliver the Islington Advocacy and Support Service incorporating IRIS. We are therefore looking to expand our team, widening the range of services provided for women and their children, enabling them to live lives free from domestic and sexual violence. We are looking to employ four people to join our dedicated team.

New to Islington, IRIS is a general practice based domestic violence training, support and referral programme which aims to improve the quality of care given by GP surgeries and pharmacies to those experiencing domestic violence.   The post holders will provide advocacy for patients, training to general practice teams and pharmacies and on-going support for health professionals.

Training will be provided for the successful applicants.

We are looking to appoint a full time IRIS Advocate Educator plus an IRIS Advocate Educator/IDVA who will carry a general caseload in addition to some IRIS work. We would consider splitting this second post – part time IRIS AE and part time IDVA.
