Newsletter: Get involved now – 16 Days of Activism

We’re sneaking in an extra newsletter because we’re so excited to invite you to a VERY special online book event featuring four of the most exciting women writers of the moment.

Female and Vocal - Writing to Empower A panel of best-selling authors.

As part of our 16 Days of Stories Challenge we are hosting a webinar with inspiring female authors speaking about how they use their writing to empower themselves and others and understand what we can all do to ensure all voices are heard. Sunday Times Bestselling author, Harriet Tyce (It Ends At Midnight, Blood Orange, The Lies You Told), will host the panel speaking to Winnie M Li (Dark Chapter, Complicit) Rose Wilding (Speak of the Devil) and Louise Hare (This Lovely City, Miss Aldridge Regrets). The webinar will explore creative inspiration and well as the political environment within the creative industry. All proceeds will support our life-saving work with women and girls in London.

As a special Christmas treat, because we know times are tough for many of us we're also offering a pay what you can option for this webinar.

7 Years of Christmas Appeal

*Drum roll* ...We are thrilled to announce our Seven Years of Christmas Campaign!

The short animation follows the life of ‘Maya’ over seven years of Christmas, based on our finding that it takes a woman on average seven years to leave an abusive relationship.

Keep an eye on our social media for the launch of our animation on the 29th of November.

From 29th November to 6th December, every donation made to Solace’s Big Give campaign will be matched by the Women & Girls Match Fund. Solace has a target of £50,000 which will fund support for the thousands of women and girls to escape violence across London.

Make double the difference to women fleeing abuse this winter.
