In my role as CEO of Solace, I’m proud to lead a fantastic and dedicated team of women. We are fully committed to ensuring all women and children receive the highest standard of women/children centred support driven by our core values of acting on needs, recognising the trauma our service users have experienced and working with women to lead fulfilling and independent lives. I have over 30 years’ experience in the Women’s Sector and am also a qualified Solicitor. I led the merge of Camden, Enfield and Islington Women’s Aid to form Solace in 2007 and over the last 11 years Solace has grown to be the leading provider of domestic abuse and sexual violence services in London supporting 11,000 women and girls each year. I campaign passionately for women to live their lives free from male violence and strongly advocate for women with local and central government to ensure services are protected now and in the future. I am working to protect the financial security of the refuge network and develop practical responses to meet the rising demand for counselling and advocacy. Outside of my work at Solace I’m currently co-chair for national Women’s Aid, enjoy mountain walking and spending time with my family.
