Fundraising for Solace means standing up for some of society's most vulnerable.
Women and children across London are experiencing abuse right now. By the time you’ve read this page the police will have received a 999 call relating to domestic violence, they get one every 30 seconds. Stand with them by fundraising, to make sure every woman and child has somewhere to turn.
Whatever way you bring your community together is a step towards a stronger, safer future. It could involve organising an event or challenging yourself to raise awareness and funds for Solace, all which greatly helps to support those recovering from abuse.
Bring together friends and family to celebrate Solace. Hosting a tea party is a fantastic way to have fun, while raising awareness of an important issue.
Check out our materials on the resources page to help you have a terrific tea party while helping woman and children across London.
Whether a music event or art show, you can make a difference to women and children across London using your passion and creativity. At Solace we use art and music to help women and children recover from the abuse they've experienced.
Every year Solace supporters have held their annual Rock Against Violence concert, raising vital funds for us as well as raising awareness across the community.
As a school or university you can make a huge difference to ending violence against women and girls for the future. You have a chance to spread awareness with people who may need Solace's services.
One idea is to wear Orange on November 25th, the International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women, or do something on International Women's Day, March 8th.
Or does your school take part in the First Give programme? Why not sign up and raise awareness as well as fundraise at your school.
Raise awareness throughout your community about what we are doing; you can have a speaker come along and do a collection, or have an event that talks about Solace, even a tea party!

Leave an amazing legacy to help future generations of women and children.
A gift from you in your will to Solace Women’s Aid will enable us to support many more women and children who need your help.
After you’ve taken care of the people closest to you, a small gift in your will could make a huge difference to us, ensuring that we are always here to meet the needs of the most vulnerable women experiencing abuse and sexual violence, and the children who depend on them.
Some of the ways it would help
• Secure the future of our refuges making sure there is always a safe place when women need to flee from violence.
• Enable our counselling service to continue to help women recover from the trauma of abuse or sexual violence.
• Give children the chance to do more than survive childhood trauma but regain their lost childhood and overcome lasting damage that abuse and loss causes
You can make a will for free at Farewill when you name Solace Women’s Aid in your will.
They will ask you a few simple questions that allow Farewill to create your will. This usually takes people about 15 minutes, and there’s also live chat and phone support on hand.
Alternatively, you may already have a solicitor but you will incur a fee. If you do make your will via a solicitor please don’t forget to include the full name of the charity (Solace Women’s Aid) and our Charity Registration Number (1082450).
Thank you. We really do appreciate every gift we receive.
