Aanchal Women’s Aid is an organisation that supports women and their children by offering a free and confidential service for Asian women who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse. Services include a telephone helpline, emotional support, group work and counselling. They also provide advice on housing, matrimonial matters, welfare rights, debt and referrals to solicitors.
Abianda is a social enterprise that works with young women affected by gangs. We offer one-to-one, group work and employment opportunities to gang-affected young women. We provide frontline services for young women aged 11 to 24.
Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL) was set up in 2006 to reduce the poverty of local refugees and asylum-seekers, advance their education and raise awareness about refugees rights and needs.
Services include advice in welfare benefits, housing, education, employment, health and immigration, a supplementary Saturday School for children aged 4-11 and a foodbank for destitute asylum-seekers and refugees.
Action on Elder Abuse run a confidential freephone helpline, which provides information, advice and support to victims and others who are concerned about or have witnessed abuse, neglect or financial exploitation.
Parents or carers with adolescent or adult children who are abusive and use drugs or alcohol, may be able to access support through groups known to Adfam (families, drug and alcohol charity). There is a map of local support on the website.

Adfam is the only national umbrella organisation working specifically with and for families affected by drugs and alcohol. Our final goal is that no family member in need of support should go without it. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for families affected by drug and alcohol use.

At our Minerva Centre each woman has their own keyworker who will help them work through a variety of issues and find solutions.
Al-Anon Family Groups provide support to anyone whose life is, or has been, affected by someone else’s drinking. We believe alcoholism affects the whole family, not just the drinker. We are an international organisation with over 800 support groups in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Al-Anon is a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience in order to solve their common problems.
Al-Hasaniya Moroccan Women’s Centre serves the health, welfare, educational and cultural needs of Moroccan and Arabic-speaking women and their families resident in London. Domestic and sexual abuse support is for Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea.
