
Solace is delighted to announce the appointment of Abigail Ampofo as our incoming Chair of Trustees. Abigail will officially hold the position following Solace’s Annual General Meeting on 10 December 2025.
Abigail brings a wealth of leadership experience from across the third sector. She began her career providing housing support to people living with HIV and has since gone on to lead vital services for adults and children with complex support needs, including award-winning projects.
She is currently the Interim CEO of YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity fighting for young people’s mental health, and has also held senior roles including Interim CEO at Refuge, the national domestic abuse charity, as well as in services supporting survivors of modern slavery, people with mental health needs, and local government. Abigail holds an MSc in Business Psychology alongside qualifications in Programme Management.
