We would like to send a huge thanks to all of you who supported Solace during our #IseeMaya Christmas campaign. Thanks to your donations we were able to continue supporting many women and children over the Christmas period and beyond. So, on behalf of our staff, trustees, volunteers, and the survivors you’re helping to keep safe, thank you once again.
We are starting this year as determined as ever to work towards a future where all women and girls can live safe lives free from violence and abuse. For those of you looking for different ways to support Solace into the new year, read on to find out how you can get involved!
Challenge Events

In 2025 we are keen to invite as many people as possible to join #TeamSolace. We have been advertising plenty of challenge events on our website and social media ranging from 5k runs, to swims, cycles and marathons, so whether you’re a seasoned athlete or fancy a challenge you will be able to find something for you!
We have signed up to Run for Charity to offer you a varied mix of challenges, or, you can find your own event and sign up using JustGiving (our instructions on how to do this can be found on the website).
Ready to take the next step?
50 Years of Solace

This year, Solace is celebrating its 50th anniversary. We started off the year by gathering our staff together to reflect on Solace, everything we’ve achieved in the last 50 years, and what’s to come. The day consisted of thought-provoking discussions and motivational speeches, a ‘Dragon’s Den’ presentation, an awards ceremony to celebrate our incredible colleagues and plenty more.
For this important milestone, we are looking ahead at what needs to be done to make sure the next 50 years are brighter for all women and girls. We will be sharing more about our plans to celebrate throughout the year with you soon!
