Message from Solace Trustees

To all of Solace’s stakeholders –

We want to let you know that from today, 30 September 2021, Fiona Dwyer will be leaving her role as the CEO of Solace Woman’s Aid. As Trustees, we want to thank Fiona for her contribution, particularly for the contracts and considerable funds she has helped to bring in to Solace. We wish Fiona all the best for her future endeavours.

For now, we have asked Judith Banjoko and Retna Thevarajah to step up and share the responsibility of leading the organisation on a short-term basis. The Trustees have full confidence in both Judith and Retna and thank them for their leadership.  We will be working at pace to bring in an interim CEO and she will bring a wealth of experience in leadership roles.

While the departure of our CEO is significant, our organisation has always been more than any one staff member. We are committed to working together with the staff to bring Solace into a new era in alignment with our collective values and, most importantly, continue to put our services users at the heart of everything we do.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Helen Hughes, Chair of Trustees
