Senior Housing Linkworker 

The Senior Housing Linkworker provides casework support to service users facing multiple disadvantage and complex housing matters. As part of the Specialist Refuge Project, the Senior Housing Linkworker also delivers housing training to frontline professionals. This role also coordinates the regular Housing Legal Surgery and provides support to colleagues with housing queries.

The Senior Housing Linkworker support service users and delivers training in the following boroughs: Barnet, Camden, City, Croydon, Enfield, Haringey, Harrow, Hounslow, Islington, Lambeth, Merton, Southwark, Wandsworth, Westminster.

Casework Support 

This role supports women facing multiple disadvantage who cannot access refuge spaces and have complex housing situations. The project can explore alternative housing options for these service users and support to challenge local authority decisions.

Eligibility:

  • Has multiple needs
  • Has a complex housing issue
  • Lives in one of the project boroughs (as below)
  • Has experienced VAWG

(Needs may include, but aren’t limited to: mental health needs; substance use; history of rough sleeping; insecure immigration status; history of offending behaviour; history of CSC involvement; affected by prostitution or trafficking; physical health needs.)

We request that caseworkers have taken steps to address housing before referring as project spaces are limited. As this role primarily supports with housing, it is preferred that the service user has a support worker continuing to work alongside them.

Housing Training

As part of the Specialist Refuge Project, the Senior Housing Linkworker delivers training on Domestic Abuse and Housing Options to external frontline professionals, including housing departments. The project delivers training in the following boroughs: Barnet, Camden, City, Croydon, Enfield, Haringey, Harrow, Hounslow, Islington, Lambeth, Merton, Southwark, Wandsworth, Westminster.
