Frances Gillies is chief executive of the British Psychotherapy Foundation (bpf), a psychotherapy training, membership and clinical services charity.
Before her executive role, she was a principal psychologist at Devon Partnership NHS Trust, working in secondary and tertiary mental health services.
She holds a Doctorate in Psychotherapeutic and Counselling Psychology, an MSc in Psychological Therapies and Research, and a Professional Qualification in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. She is a fellow of the Higher Education Authority and was a Senior Lecturer at Exeter University.
She has published articles and contributed to research studies with colleagues. She is currently undertaking the Voluntary Sector Leadership and Management MSc at Bayes Business School.
