One Stop Volunteer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for busy Our One Stop Shop. We are looking for a reliable and organised volunteer to assist us with meeting and greeting our Service Users upon arrival. You will be joining a team of committed and inspiring individuals whose dedication has saved the lives of thousands of women, men and children.
About the role
The Bexley One Stop Shop offers a range of advice all under one roof to help victims of domestic abuse. The service is open every Wednesday from 11am to 4pm at Central Library Bexleyheath. Services include legal representation, domestic abuse specialist support, plus other agencies, all offering advice on issues concerning domestic abuse. No appointment is required and all advice is free to anyone visiting the One Stop Shop.
We are looking for friendly and diligent individuals to join our services and help us make a difference. You will be supporting the team to complete initial paperwork, and guide service users to our IDVA’s (Independent Domestic Violence Advisors) and other services available on the day.

- The ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to the organisation.

We offer great volunteer induction training, where you will be fully supported to understand, and carry put every aspect of the role. Training includes CPD accredited courses, and the opportunity to apply to complete the level 2 Understanding Domestic Abuse Award (DAPA), which is recognized by the Home Office.

Please note that our volunteer opportunities are open to women only (exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1), and that these volunteer roles are exempt from the rehabilitation of offenders act 1974 and subject to enhanced DBS checks where applicable.
