Our busy Southwark team is seeking a reliable and organised domestic abuse support volunteers to assist the advocacy team. The volunteer with be working closely with IDVAs (Independent Domestic Violence Advisors) and Domestic Abuse Case Workers to understand their role in supporting service users to be safe and start their journey to recovery. The ideal volunteer will have a good telephone manner, excellent communication and computer skills, and be able to show empathy to service users. Volunteers will be given a good grounding in issues that service users face and will learn a lot about how best to support survivors of domestic abuse and/or sexual violence.
