We are looking for volunteers to work with residents at our multiple needs refuge to maintain our beautiful and spacious garden. The women we support here have fled to refuge due to experiencing VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) who also have additional barriers to accessing other services such as significant mental health support needs and/or problematic alcohol and/or substance use. This service works in a trauma informed way. This is a varied role based on the principal that plants and gardens can provide people with skills and is beneficial to their mental, emotional and physical fitness and health. The candidate must have enthusiasm for and a keen interest in horticulture, preferably a qualification.
