This is an exciting opportunity to join Solace's Floating Support Team.
Our floating support team is seeking a reliable and organised domestic abuse support volunteer to assist. You will act as the first point of contact for the service, answering our duty line and responding to emails in our in-box. In addition, you will provide administrative support to the team. Provide support to increase referrals into the service as well as encouraging Service User Involvement.
You will need to have an understanding of the issues faced by women survivors of domestic abuse or other forms of VAWG and will be the first point of contact for both survivors seeking support and for professionals looking for advice. You will need good interpersonal, communication, organisational, administrative and computer skills.
In return, we offer great volunteer induction training, where you will be fully supported to understand, and carry put every aspect of the role. A volunteering role often leads to some opportunity of applying for a paid employment role within Solace.
