Exciting opportunity to deliver groups to women who have experienced domestic/sexual abuse. The content of the groups is flexible and is dependent on what skills the volunteer can bring. This can include singing workshops, yoga, meditation, massage therapy, beauty treatments, knitting, sewing, art and relaxation.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to speak clearly and empathetically to service users. Knowledge of domestic/sexual abuse and possible impacts of this on women and their children is required along with safeguarding procedures. Where appropriate the volunteer must have the qualifications for the group sessions they would like to carry out.
