As a survivor, Solace provided me with an immense amount of support, empathy and warmth during an extremely traumatising period of my life. So, I see the Shadow Board as a powerful opportunity to give back and support Solace with its mission to end the harm done through gender-based violence.
Intersectionality is at the core of what I bring to the Board. I have felt the difficulties and complexities of obtaining justice as a Black queer woman firsthand, so I am motivated to drive change with diversity and knowledge about intersectionality at the forefront.
