Sarah Strang is a mother of twins age 6, artist and curator and a passionate and determined advocate of Solace Women’s Aid – London’s biggest domestic abuse charity seeking to end domestic abuse of women.
Her career over the last twenty years has focused on social justice, as an artist and both gallery director and a curator – creating space for voices from the global majority to be made visible. Asking questions through visual art to challenge how institutions function and exchange knowledge with the communities that they seek to serve such as the Royal College of General Practitioners, Simmons & Simmons and The Francis Crick Institute. Current visual arts project include collaboration with the Somers Town Community Centre flooring community spaces within institutions across the Knowledge Quarter – University College Hospital, the British library, and Kings Cross St Pancras station.
To survive motherhood in 2024 she ran the Hackney half marathon in support of Women’s Aid.
