Abigail started her third sector career providing housing related support to people living with HIV. Since then, Abigail has worked at a senior level across the sector developing and leading vital services for adults and their children with support needs – including award winning projects.
Abigail is currently the interim CEO of YoungMinds, the UKs leading charity fighting for young people’s mental health. Who, through their advocacy, youth participation, services, including the flagship Parents Helpline and provision of expert content, ensures no young person feels alone with their mental health.
Abigail also held an interim CEO position at the specialist national domestic abuse charity Refuge, where Abigail first joined as Director of Service Delivery leading Refuge’s operational services including the National Domestic Abuse Helpline, safe accommodation, tech safety and community support services. Abigail has also held leadership positions supporting survivors of modern slavery, people with mental health needs as well as roles in local government.
Abigail holds an MSc in Business Psychology and qualifications in Programme Management.
