Floating Support
Haringey Floating Support Service provides free and confidential advice, support and advocacy to women and girls over the age of 16 affected by domestic and sexual violence, of standard to medium risk. Our team offers short to medium term support to increase safety. We will support with a range of needs:
- Assess your risk level
- Develop a safety plan to address immediate safety which include practical steps to protect you and your children.
- Develop a support plan to identify your support needs
- Provide advice and support
- Advocate on your behalf
Referral process
Service users can either refer themselves by calling 020 8885 3557 or emailing [email protected]
A referral can also be made by a professional, please email [email protected], however, this needs to be done with the service user’s full consent.
Employment Programme
The project works with a range of women survivors of domestic abuse, supporting them through work readiness, training and employment. The programme will be flexible, allowing women to pause and re-join as their situation changes.
We support a range of women including women with no recourse to public funds, to get into a position that they can work. The project also encourages women who are currently in receipt of benefits to access the programme.
