Sian Elliott

Sian Elliott is the Director of Organising, Public Services, and Skills at the Trades Union Congress (TUC) and a dedicated advocate for structural equality. Her career is rooted in a commitment to dismantling systemic barriers, particularly those affecting women and marginalised communities.

At the TUC, Sian spearheaded the landmark national campaign that won historic new legislative protections against workplace sexual harassment—a transformative victory for women’s safety and dignity at work. Her expertise in shaping government policy is informed by a deep understanding of the intersections of inequality.

Before her leadership roles at the TUC, Sian was an academic at the University of Roehampton, where she lectured on Education and Social Inequalities. Her published research on systemic racism within schools and its impact on teachers remains a vital contribution to the field of social justice.
